I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley and Dan through my sister Leti, and from our first meeting at Tomato Pie Cafe, I knew we were going to have a fantastic time capturing their engagement photos. Their story is as vibrant as their personalities, and it was a joy learning about their journey from high school sweethearts to soon-to-be newlyweds.

A Day Full of Urban Exploration and Love

Our engagement session was set against the backdrop of Downtown Harrisburg, a place that holds special meaning for both Ashley and Dan. We began our urban adventure at a striking street mural by Vera Primavera, located on 2nd Street & Locust Lane. The “Bruja” mural’s bright colors and dynamic energy perfectly mirrored Ashley and Dan's spirited relationship.

Although the day was overcast, the cloudy skies couldn't dampen our spirits. We captured candid walking shots through the city, allowing the couple’s natural chemistry and the city’s eclectic vibes to lead the way. While we missed the café, we made a spontaneous stop at the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC), a favorite haunt for Ashley and Dan, where we enjoyed some great shots and refreshing beers.

Sunset Portraits at Harrisburg Riverfront Park

The session continued at Harrisburg Riverfront Park, which proved to be surprisingly serene and uncrowded, providing us with a perfect setting for intimate portraits. We wrapped up the day on the iconic Walnut Street Bridge, capturing more beautiful moments.

Piper and Cosmo Steal the Show

Not to forget, Ashley and Dan’s fur babies, Piper and Cosmo, joined us for the session. They were not only adorable but also photogenic, adding a delightful touch to the day’s shoot.

Looking Forward to the Big Day

This engagement shoot was my first urban city session, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the variety of shots and the genuine moments we captured. Ashley and Dan's fun-loving personalities shone brightly throughout the day, and I am eagerly anticipating capturing their wedding this November!

The city offers endless photo opportunities, and I am thrilled with the diverse shots we achieved. Here’s to Ashley and Dan’s upcoming wedding and the many more memories they will create together!
