It's always special when a college friend reaches out for a life-changing event, and that's exactly what happened with Betsy. We go way back to our days at Kutztown University, where we worked side-by-side in a quaint restaurant in Kutztown, PA. When Betsy asked me to capture her wedding, I was thrilled—especially since it had been years since we last met in person, though we kept in touch via social media.
Reconnecting Over Breakfast
Ahead of their intimate summer wedding, Betsy, Bill, and I met for breakfast to go over the details of their big day. It was wonderful to see how down-to-earth and easy-going they both were, and the meeting left me excited and eager for their June wedding, even though it was only January!
The Perfect June Wedding Day
The wedding day couldn't have been more ideal. Held at the stunning Hotel Hershey, the venue boasted beautifully manicured grounds which served as a perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The soothing sound of a harp played by Louis Lynch set a serene tone, and the unique butterfly release by the family added a magical touch, symbolizing new beginnings.
A Family-Centric Celebration
The ceremony was heartfelt, emphasizing not just the union of Betsy and Bill but also the blending of their families. Betsy's daughter and their niece, Loralei, made adorable flower girls, while Bill's son, Gabe, took on the role of ring bearer with pride. The significance of family was further underscored by the embroidered butterflies on Betsy’s veil, originally from her mother’s wedding gown.

The bride looked effortlessly elegant, thanks to the exquisite styling by Bombshell Brides. Gabby, in her light pink dress, and the groom and his party in sharp suits, looked stunning. The joy and love were palpable, captured in every image I took.
